In the press release quoted Tuesday (5/9), Michael, President Director of CUAN, mentioned that the locations of mining areas belong to its subsidiaries, PT Daya Bumindo Karunia (DBK) dan PT Intam.
The mining area of DBK span across 14,800 hectares, recording potential coal resources of 226.1 million tons and coal reserves of 99.5 million tons. On the other hand, the area owned by Intam is located in Sumbawa and has an area of 18,500 hectares.
Said area is said to be manageable by CUAN following the government’s decision to annul the revocation of Mining Business License of DBK and Intam. Currently, both subsidiaries are completing the final phase of administrative process required by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
As is known, CUAN is affiliated with PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT). Through another of its subsidiary, PT Tamtama Perkasa, CUAN has produced high-quality thermal coals with a production capacity of 1 million tons per annum since 2013. (LK/ZH)
