JAKARTA. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), an energy company under Salim Group, has been officially listed in FTSE Global Equity Index as of September 2023.

Said change will be officially implemented starting from the session’s closing on Friday, September 15, 2023, and will take effect starting from Monday, September 18, 2023.

“This is the second time BUMI is listed in FTSE Global Equity Index,” said Dileep Srivastava, Director and Corporate Secretary of BUMI, in the official disclosure.

For the record, FTSE Global Equity Index is a series of capital market index set up by London Stock Exchange (LSE) Group. It consists of over 16,000 stocks in 48 countries.

Adika Nuraga Bakrie, President Director of BUMI, said that the feature of BUMI in FTSE Global Equity Index is expected to generate added value to shareholders and business performance of the company in the future. “Furthermore, it may attract more investors from global institutions,” he stated.

According to IDNFinancials data, BUMI’s stock price has seen 34.3% surge in the past 3 months, arriving at IDR 145 per share. The market capitalisation of BUMI is currently reported at IDR 53.84 trillion. (KR/ZH)
