In need of additional capital, Bank MNC to carry out rights issue of 13.5 billion shares
JAKARTA. PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP), a banking issuer owned by MNC Group, will increase capital by providing Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) or rights issue.
The number of shares to be issued by BABP in the rights issue is 13.5 billion shares, or equivalent to 28.57% of the issued and fully paid capital. All of the new shares are Series B shares, which have a nominal value of 50 per share.
Regarding this corporate action, the company will request approval from the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS). The meeting agenda is scheduled for October 19, 2023.
BABP management said that all proceeds from the rights issue will be used by the company for credit distribution. "By still paying attention to the provisions of the Minimum Capital Requirement (KPMM)," wrote BABP Management, in today's information disclosure.
In stock trading on Tuesday (12/9), BABP's share price closed down 2 points or 2.38% to IDR 82 per share. However, BABP's share price has decreased by 37.40% in the last one year. (KR/LM)
