JAKARTA – The profit of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) grew 32.42% in the first half of 2023, proliferating from IDR 2.13 trillion to IDR 2.82 trillion. This achievement was made along with a revenue increase per semester.

Based on the H1 2023 Financial Report quoted today (19/9), the income from bank’s share in profit clocked up to IDR 8.10 trillion. It proliferated from IDR 7.47 trillion seen in the same period last year.

The revenue is made up of sales of IDR 6.16 trillion, profit sharing of IDR 2.80 trillion, net ijarah of IDR 63.92 trillion, and other core businesses of IDR 1.84 trillion.

For comparison, in the first half of 2022, the revenue from sales reached IDR 5.49 trillion, followed by profit sharing of IDR 2.20 trillion, ijarah of IDR 22.07 billion, and other primary businesses of IDR 1.66 trillion.

BRIS managed to gain operating profit of IDR 3.73 trillion in H1 2023, increasing from IDR 2.80 trillion seen in the same period last year. Lastly, its comprehensive profit also grew from IDR 2.24 trillion to IDR 2.90 trillion. (LK/ZH)
