JAKARTA – Shareholders agreed upon the plan of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) to initiate a stock split with a ratio of 1:2, meaning one old share is divided into two new shares. Said decision was made during the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders yesterday (19/9).

According to the minutes of the EGMS quoted today (20/9), EGMS was joined by representatives of 15.78 billion shares or 100% of the shares, while the vote came in from 15.75 billion shares or 99.99% of total votes issued in the meeting.

With this stock split approval, Series A Dwiwarna and Series B of IDR 7,500 will be worth IDR 3,750. Series A Dwiwarna shares will remain as AD Dwiwarna valued at IDR 3,750, whereas Series A Dwiwarna will become series B owned by government, also valued at IDR 3,750 per share. Lastly, series C will shrink from IDR 375 to IDR 187.5 per share.

As of now, it was closed at IDR 9,575, recording 41.11 million shares being traded in 8,346 transactions worth IDR 394.44 billion. It peaked at IDR 9,675 and hit the lowest at IDR 9,450 per share. (LK/ZH)
