JAKARTA – The management of  PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK) has deactivated Sofiah Balfas as a member of the board of directors regarding her status as a suspect in the corruption case of Jakarta – Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road construction.

Irsal Kamarudin, President Director of BUKK, mentioned that the acting party by proxy, replacing the director under the suspect status, is the board of directors of BUKK in collective and collegial way,” he mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Thursday (21/9).

It is known that the Attorney General’s Office recently named Sofiah Balfas as the suspect in the alleged corruption case yesterday (19/9). Prior to this, the Attorney General’s Office has also decided on several other names involved in this corruption case of Jakarta – Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road construction. They include DD, President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) of 2016-2020; YM, Head of JJC Tender Committee; TBS; an expert staff of PTLGC bridge; and IBN, former Head of Divisin 5 of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT).

Sofiah Balfas is known to have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Industrial Engineering from Bogor Agricultural University (lit. Institut Pertanian Bogor/IPB) in 1990. (LK/ZH)
