JAKARTA - Foreign net volume was 540,784,700 shares in the negative on Thursday, September 21, as a result of foreign investors selling around 2.18 billion shares but only buying around 1.64 billion shares. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the digital issuer, was once again the stock with the highest foreign sales volume, which was close to 600 million shares, with a net volume of nearly -400 million. Meanwhile, sea transportation company PT Habco Trans Maritima Tbk (HATM) had the highest net volume with 35.94 million shares, after nearly 40 million shares were purchased by foreigners.

GOTO was followed by two other issuers with a net volume of minus 42 million shares: the packaging company PT Tunas Alfin Tbk (TALF) and the aquaculture company PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CPRO). Foreigners sold 42.49 million TALF shares without making any purchases, while 58.78 million CPRO shares were also sold. PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL), a provider of telecommunications infrastructure, then reported foreign sales of 68.93 million, with a net volume of -35.53 million shares. Furthermore, around 31.89 million shares of paid television service provider PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV) were disposed of, giving this company a net volume of nearly -30 million.

In contrast, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) trailed HATM after foreigners purchased nearly 50 million shares. The net volume of this telecommunications company was about 32.48 million shares. Oil and gas exploration company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) came in next with a net volume of 26.24 million shares after foreign investors claimed 44.26 million shares. Finally, both PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA) and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) reported net volumes in the 22–23 million share range, with foreign spending volumes totaling 28.93 million CNMA and 37.12 million BRPT.
