JAKARTA - On Tuesday, September 19, PT Merdeka Battery Minerals Tbk (MBMA) welcomed a new investor, Winato Kartono, with the acquisition of 6.79 billion shares. With this share purchase transaction, Winato became a shareholder with a 6.29% ownership of this electric vehicle battery manufacturer. Furthermore, this corporation obtained more funds from another individual investor, Garibaldi Thohir, who purchased 3.81 billion shares. Not only that but PT Paramita Bangun Sarana Tbk (PBSA), a building construction firm, gained a new investor, the foreign investor Bank of Singapore Limited, with the purchase of 201.60 million shares and a final ownership percentage of 6.72%.

The list of share purchases was continued by PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia, which bought 338.54 million shares of the palm oil company PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS). Apart from that, PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk also bought 7.22 million shares of the parent company, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which is engaged in metal and mineral production. The share purchase list closed with the purchase of 1.94 million shares of real estate company PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) by PT Paraga Arta Mida.

Meanwhile, two individual investors were seen selling a portion of their stakes in two distinct firms. Sugiman Halim sold 482.86 million shares in the mineral resources mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), reducing his shareholding to 7.38%. Sukarto Bujung was the next individual investor to sell 10 million shares of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL), an information technology company. GOTO Peopleverse Fund, a foreign investor, also sold 6.94 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO), followed by PT Sari Bumi Indopower, which sold 3.50 million shares of paper manufacturing company PT Suparma Tbk (SPMA).
