JAKARTA - Total foreign selling on Friday, September 22, was observed to be greater than total buying, making the net foreign close at -230.16 million shares. The overall value of foreign investors' share purchases was 1.89 billion shares, while total sales were 2.12 billion shares.

Investors sold 740.07 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO), accounting for one-third of all foreign sell transactions with a net volume of -526.47 million shares. Meanwhile, the most purchased shares belonged to the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), which bought up as many as 172.79 million shares with a net volume of 155.84 million shares.

BRMS’s parent firm, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), which is engaged in the mining industry, came in second on the top buy list with 79.09 million shares purchased and a net volume of 39.31 million shares. Furthermore, two telecommunications companies both recorded net volumes in the range of 30 million shares, namely PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) at 39.31 million and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) at 32.90 million. FREN shares were purchased for 40.50 million shares, and TLKM shares were purchased for 73.71 million shares. In addition, shares of PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA), which is involved in industrial area development, were purchased for 38.37 million shares, with a net volume of 28.94 million shares.

Meanwhile, the media business PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV) ranked second on the top-selling list after 73.17 million shares were sold and only 59,200 shares were bought, for a net foreign volume of -73.11 million shares. A similar case happened with PT Jayamas Medica Industri Tbk (OMED), where investors sold 20.58 million shares of this medical device manufacturing company while purchasing only 234,100 shares, resulting in a net volume of -20.35 million shares. Finally, 25.66 million shares of the construction firm PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK) were sold with a net volume of -19.23 million shares, followed by the sale of 18.65 million shares of the energy investment business PT MNC Energy Investments Tbk (IATA) with a net volume of -13.75 million shares.
