JAKARTA. PT Jaya Swarasa Agung Tbk (TAYS), a wafer and biscuit manufacturer, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Japanese company, Mixio Holdings Incorporated.

Dinna Afrianti, Corporate Secretary of TAYS, said that the signing took place late September 2023. In this cooperation, Mixio is granted an exclusive right to distribute the company’s products in Japan.

“This transaction has no material impact, but it will extend the scope of distribution of company’s products in international market,” Afrianti mentioned in the official statement.

According to IDNFinancials data, Mixio is a snack manufacturer based in Japan that has various products, including confectioners and chocolate. Furthermore, Mixio also supplies snack products for retail stores.

For the record, export of TAYS in June 2023 was recorded at IDR 33.24 billion, while the domestic sales reached IDR 109.37 billion. Export sales reportedly grew 21.7% year-on-year (yoy) in this first half of 2023, while domestic sales dropped 16.3% yoy. (KR/ZH)
