GOTO's foreign sales reach 1 billion, with net foreign volume recorded at minus 775 million
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, October 3, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were sold the most, hitting up to 1.14 billion. With only around 357.97 million shares purchased, it resulted in a net foreign of -785.25 million shares. The selling of GOTO shares became the largest contributor to the drop in today’s net foreign, which was at -775.90 million shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was recorded at 2.15 billion shares, while foreign selling volume was at 2.93 billion shares.
Apart from GOTO, shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), an oil and gas exploration and production business, were also sold for 45.23 million shares, with a net foreign volume of -21.21 million shares. Shares of the fuel oil distributor company PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) were also sold for 37.59 million shares, with a net volume of -16.21 million shares. Furthermore, the sale of shares in two businesses, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP), resulted in a net volume of roughly -19 million shares. Foreign investors sold 20.88 million shares of BIPI, a mining infrastructure company, and 19.71 million shares of BCAP, a financial services company.
Meanwhile, shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) placed first on the top buy list, with 81.52 million shares bought and a net foreign volume of 76.78 million shares. Second, 86.57 million shares of the mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were purchased, for a net volume of 47.02 million shares. Foreign investors also bought 39.65 million shares of entertainment and film company PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) with a net volume of 39.02 million shares.
There were also two companies that had a net volume of more than 25 million shares, respectively, on the purchase list. Shares of mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) were bought for 57.52 million shares with a net volume of 28.25 million shares, followed by the purchase of 40.85 million shares of the telecommunications business PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) with a net volume of 25.83 million shares.
