Foreign investors continued to sell GOTO shares, resulting in a net foreign of minus 1.63 billion
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, October 4, foreign investors continued to sell shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) in high volume. A total of 1.36 billion shares of this digital company were sold, with shares purchased at just around 186.99 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 1.17 billion shares in the red. This fairly large net volume had a significant impact on net foreign, which closed at -1.63 billion shares. Moreover, the total foreign buy was 2.01 billion shares, and the foreign sell was 3.65 billion shares.
In addition, with a net volume of -159.38 million shares, foreign investors sold 175.55 million shares of the parent company, PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk (BHIT), which works in the investment industry. Shares of the electric motor vehicle trading company, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), were sold for 68.56 million shares, and its net foreign volume was -65.03 million shares. A total of 93.16 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were also sold, resulting in a net volume of -56.36 million shares. Then, foreign investors released 71.25 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with a net volume of -42.95 million shares.
Meanwhile, shares of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), a gadget distributor and retailer, were bought the most, with 37.64 million shares and a net foreign volume of 36.12 million shares. In addition, 40.31 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were purchased with a net volume of 23.79 million shares, followed by the purchase of 69.09 million shares of the oil and gas exploration and production company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) with a net volume of 18.98 million shares.
Foreign investors purchased 94.23 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and 53.42 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) in the banking industry. This share purchase transaction resulted in a net volume of 29.14 million shares for BBCA and 17.84 million shares for BMRI. (KD)
