JAKARTA - On Thursday, October 5, foreign selling volume nearly hit 3 billion shares, or 2.99 billion shares to be exact. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was 2.20 billion, resulting in a net foreign of -794.06 million shares.

Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were once again the most popular on the top-selling list. This digital company's share sales hit 1.15 billion, with a foreign net volume of -762.99 million shares. In the financial sector, almost 100 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were also released, with a net volume of -69.77 million shares, followed by the sale of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP)’s 30.89 million shares with a net volume of -29.93 million shares.

Furthermore, with a net volume of -30.75 million shares, foreign investors released 45.35 million shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which operates in the geothermal energy usage industry. PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL) shares were also sold for 38.49 million shares, with a net foreign volume of -21.80 million shares.

On the top buy list, purchases of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CPRO) shares were seen to have both generated net volumes in the range of almost 50 million shares. Foreign investors purchased 77.83 million shares of BRMS, a mineral mining company, and 55.15 million shares of CPRO, a shrimp farming company.

Shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) also became the target of share purchases in the range of 59.04 million shares with a net volume of 41.99 million. In addition, foreign investors purchased 82.24 million shares of the oil and gas exploration and production business PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), for a net volume of 32.92 million shares. A total of 26.60 million shares of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), a copper and gold mining business, were also purchased, for a net volume of 21.69 million shares. (KD)
