JAKARTA - PT Bank UOB Indonesia will hold UOB Gateway to ASEAN Conference 2023 titled ASEAN Forging Ahead on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

This upcoming conference, as the name suggests, will provide discussion regarding Indonesia's collaborative role in ASEAN and cross-region trading, as well as delving deep into three ASEAN Connectors that will become catalysts in sustainable economy development.

Maya Rizano, Head of Strategic Communications and Brand of UOB Indonesia, said that this conference will be attended by higher-ups from government, as well as domestic industry players and foreign investors from China, Thailand, Korea, and others. The conference aims to encourage productive discussion and generating foreign direct investment in Indonesia.

"We expect 150 foreign investors will come to the event, from 60 to 70 companies. These companies include existing ones, new, and those seeking for expansion," said Harapman Kasan, Wholesale Banking Director of UOB Indonesia.

The event will feature two panel discussions regarding downstreaming and digitalisation as current prospective trends in Indonesia. UOB Gateway to ASEAN Conference 2023 will be held next Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Dian Ballroom, Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, from 8.30 AM to 2.30 PM. It is projected to hold 600 participants.

"We were able to record SGD 11.5 billion worth of investment from last year's event. This year, we are optimistic that we could see more due to huge number of participants," Kasan added. (ZH)
