JAKARTA - Foreign buying and selling volume seemed stable on Monday, October 9, with foreign selling volume at 2.08 billion shares and foreign buying volume at 1.99 billion shares. This slight difference resulted in a net foreign volume of -81.32 million shares. The largest contributor to the total foreign buying volume was the purchase of 95.36 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), with a net volume of 91.71 million shares. Meanwhile, the most sold shares came from the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with 475.49 million shares sold and a net volume of -305.75 million shares.

Apart from GOTO, shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), which operates in the oil and gas exploration and production sector, were also sold for around 97.49 million shares, and its foreign net volume was -66.73 million shares. Foreign investors also released shares of the state-owned banking institution, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), totaling 93.23 million shares with a net volume of -50.78 million shares. Moreover, 91.42 million shares of mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were sold for a net volume of -37.38 million shares, followed by the sale of 54.30 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) for a net volume of -31.16 million shares.

Placing second place in the top buy list, around 55.74 million shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were purchased with a net volume of 45.93 million shares. Aside from that, almost 41 million shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), a palm oil firm, were purchased, with a net volume of roughly 37 million shares. Lastly, the purchase of shares in PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (IMPC) and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) resulted in a net volume of 34 million shares, respectively, in which foreign investors bought 36.72 million shares of IMPC, which operates in the polymer building materials industry, and 46.73 million shares of BUMI, which operates in the mining sector.
