JAKARTA. PT VKTR Teknologi Indonesia Tbk (VKTR), an electric vehicle (EV) company under Bakrie Group, has established a joint venture (JV) with one of its shareholders, PT Kuantum Akselerasi Indonesia (KAI).

Indah Permatasari Saugi, Head of Corporate Secretary of VKTR, revealed that said JV is named PT Sarana Ekomobilitas Indonesia (SEI). The authorised capital of SEI is IDR 4 billion, while its issued and paid-up capital is IDR 1 billion.

“Ownership percentage of each company is IDR 510 million or equal to 51%, while KAI owns IDR 490 million or equal to 49%,” Saugi mentioned in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) today (11/10).

According to IDNFinancials data, KAI is now owning 12.40% of VKTR’s shares. Meanwhile, the biggest shares percentage of VKTR is still held by PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), followed by PT Bakrie Metal Industries of 22.05%, and public investors of 20%.

Saugi added that SEI is designed to carry out several business activities, some of them include trading, services, purchase, sale, transportation, maintenance, and other services. (KR/ZH)
