JKTMetro to manage 21.6 km of JORR-E
JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Metro Ekspressway (JKTMetro) will take over the operation of Jakarta Outer Ring Road Elevated Cikunir-Ulujami (JORR-E) Toll Road of 21.6 kilometres for 45 years. The investment of this project is estimated to reach IDR 21.3 trillion, 30% of which is funded by equity, while the remainder is supported by loans.
Dahlia Evawani, Corporate Secretary of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (META), the indirect holding company of JKTMetro, confirmed that the agreement regarding JORR-E management was signed alongside Toll Road Regulatory Agency (lit. Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing yesterday (11/10). “The initial tariff is set to a minimum of IDR 25,500,” she mentioned.
JKTMetro has rights of exclusive toll road management, including the construction and operation period. The schedule for land acquisition will be disclosed in a report, which should be concluded within 24 months.
According to Evawani, the cost of land acquisition will be handled by the toll road company, and the surplus of land acquisition cost will be counted as a part of investment. JKTMetro has the right to request for compensation in the form of concession extension or tariff adjustment.
META is the owner of 70% of PT Marga Metro Nusantara (MMN). Meanwhile, JKTMetro has shareholders that consist of MMN of 85%, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) of 10%, and PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST) of 5%. (LK/ZH)
