GOTO's net volume contributed 78% of total net foreign at minus 583 million
JAKARTA - Foreign investors sold a substantial number of shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) on Tuesday, October 10, resulting in a net volume of -455.53 million shares, approximately 78% of the net foreign volume of -583.52 million shares. The number of GOTO shares sold was 635.14 million. Meanwhile, foreign buy volume was approximately 1.65 billion shares, while foreign sell volume was 2.23 billion shares.
Foreign investors also released 89.24 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a mineral mining company, and only bought about 10 million shares, for a net volume of nearly 80 million shares. In the oil and gas exploration and production sector, 79.20 million shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) were also sold, with a net volume of -61.34 million shares. In addition, foreign investors were seen selling 102.72 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with a net volume of -34.76 million shares, followed by the sale of 23.74 million shares of the transportation and logistics company PT MPX Logistics International Tbk (MPXL) with a net volume of -21.91 million shares.
On the other hand, the mining business PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) and the palm oil company PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) appear to have surplus net volumes in the range of 25 million shares, respectively. In this transaction, foreign investors were seen buying 31.17 million DOID shares and 26.53 million NSSS shares. Furthermore, with a net foreign volume of 23.92 million shares, 34.85 million shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which engages in the field of geothermal energy use, were purchased. Finally, the purchase of shares in the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and the telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) both produced a net volume of around 22 million shares, of which foreign investors bought around 32.69 million BIPI shares and 43.19 million TLKM shares.
