UNTR acquires nickel mining holding company worth US$104.9 million
JAKARTA. PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) through one of its subsidiaries, namely PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (DTN), has signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement (CSPA) to acquire PT Anugerah Surya Pacific Resources (ASPR).
Sara K. Loebis, Corporate Secretary of UNTR, said ASPR is a nickel mining holding company. All ASPR shares purchased by DTN were previously owned by PT Kalira Pascama (KP), PT Bintang Prima Investama (BPI), and PT Anugerah Dayakaya Angkasa (ADA).
The share ownership portion sold by the three parties was 33.33% owned by KP, 16.67% owned by BPI, and 16.67% owned by ADA. The total ASPR shares owned by DTN will be 66.67%.
"The aim of this transaction is to add to the company's diversified portfolio of business activities, as part of a sustainable strategy and to continue the broader development of the business group in the nickel sector," said Loebis, through an official statement.
For the record, the total value of the ASPR share purchase transaction was US$104.91 million or equivalent to IDR 1.65 trillion.
After signing the CSPA, DTN together with all parties will fulfill the preliminary requirements. Fulfillment of these preliminary requirements is targeted no later than December 31, 2023. (KR/LM)
