Foreign sales volume almost hit 4 billion; net foreign volume closed at negative 451 million
JAKATA - On Wednesday, October 18, foreign investors were seen selling shares, with a total foreign selling volume of 3.99 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was in the 3.54 billion share range, leaving net foreign at -451.19 million shares. The most purchased shares belonged to the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), where investors sold 1.24 billion shares, resulting in a net volume of -348.65 million shares. The first top-buy position was held by PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), whose shares were purchased for about 120.74 million shares with a net volume of 106.38 million shares.
Then, with a net volume of 52.08 million shares, foreign investors purchased around 148.91 million shares of the plastic construction materials business, PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (IMPC). Purchases of shares in the rice producer company PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI) and the mining services firm PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) generated net volumes in the range of 48 million shares. The net volume was generated by the acquisition of 61.75 million HOKI shares and 92.03 million DOID shares. 41.90 million shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) were also sold in the oil and gas exploration and production sector, with a net volume of 30.84 million shares.
On the other hand, foreign investors were seen selling shares in two banking companies, namely PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI). There were 62.89 million BBCA shares sold, with a net volume of -49.52 million shares, followed by 159.96 million BBRI shares sold, with a net volume of -46.52 million shares. Furthermore, around 60.33 million shares of the coal mining company, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), were released with a net volume of -43.49 million shares. Finally, foreign investors sold 37.25 million shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), a company involved in the renewable energy industry, for a net foreign volume of -32.17 million shares.
