Foreign sales of Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) shares were high; net foreign volume plunged to -964 million shares
JAKARTA - On Friday, October 27, foreign investors sold 2.02 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), accounting for 56.26% of the total foreign sales volume of roughly 3.59 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was only 2.62 billion shares, leaving net foreign at -964.64 million shares. The net volume of GOTO shares itself was -873.03 million shares.
Shares of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk's (IPTV) subscription television broadcasting corporation were also sold for 50.83 million shares, with just 527,500 shares purchased, for a net volume of roughly -50.30 million shares. In the banking sector, foreign investors released 78.98 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with a net volume of -43.57 million shares and 44.18 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with a net volume of -25.91 million shares. The list of share sales was then completed by the sale of 64.57 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), a telecommunications company, for a net volume of -24.29 million shares.
Shares of the palm oil business PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) were purchased up the most on the top-selling list, totaling 98.58 million shares with a net volume of 63.41 million shares. Foreign investors also bought approximately 51.58 million shares of the energy services company PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) with a net volume of 49.11 million shares and 85.86 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with a net volume of 29.38 million shares. Mineral mining issuer PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) and infrastructure issuer PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) then had a net volume of around 20 million shares each, as a result of the purchase of 30.02 million MDKA shares, as well as 51.27 million BIPI shares.
