JAKARTA. PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA), a building construction company, experienced loss of IDR 23.7 billion throughout January-September (9M) 2023.

From the top-line, SSIA’s operating revenue grew positively 22.3% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 3.02 trillion in 9M 2023. In the same period last year, operating income in 9M 2022 was stuck at IDR 2.47 trillion.

Meanwhile, in 9M 2022, the company still managed to score net profit of IDR 70.77 billion.

According to the issued financial report, the loss of SSIA in 9M 2023 was affected by several factors, ranging from the increased direct expenses, selling expenses, general and administrative expenses, and the decreased revenue from the supporting business lines.

SSIA’s loss in 9M 2023 made its earning per share (EPS) down to IDR 5.21. In the same period last year, EPS was at IDR 15.56.

SSIA’s total assets as of September 30, 2023, were recorded at IDR 8 trillion. Meanwhile, its total equity was IDR 4.24 trillion. (KR/ZH)
