JAKARTA. PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) recorded net profit of IDR 2.14 trillion throughout January-September (9M) 2023. It shifted 4.6% year-on-year (yoy) down.

Contrastingly, in 9M 2023, BNLI’s total assets actually grew 14.3% yoy to IDR 251.9 trillion. Furthermore, the bank’s operating income was recorded at IDR 9 trillion, also growing by 11.6% yoy.

The management of BNLI mentioned that the performance in 9M 2023 is the result of focus and consistent implementation of business strategy. In addition, the strategy is also supported by solid synergy with Bangkok Bank as the parent company of BNLI.

“The positive performance we recorded in this third quarter of 2023 cannot be separated from the implementation of business strategy, which has always been PermataBank’s commitment to be the selected bank,” Meliza M. Rusli, President Director of BNLI, mentioned in the official statement.

Rusli said that in the future, BNLI will continue to focus on solidifying its deposit and wealth businesses, as well as becoming the top ecosystem partner for business and tech players. “Furthermore, we aim to secure the leading Net Promoter Score (NPS) in the banking industry,” she added.

For the record, the savings of users collected by BNLI in 9M 2023 reached IDR 181.8 trillion, also growing 12.6% yoy. The company was seen struggling to improve its cheap funds (CASA) portion, as CASA ratio in 9M 2023 was stable at 55.9%. (KR/ZH)
