BRI pockets highest profit among 4 top market capitalization banks
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) scored the highest profit among the four banks in the Top 10 market capitalization in the third quarter of 2023. The other three banks include, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).
BRI recorded net interest and sharia income of IDR 101.19 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, up 14.43% from the same period in 2022 of IDR 96.50 trillion in the third quarter of 2022 and net profit of IDR 44.21 trillion, up 12. 46% of IDR 39.31 trillion.
BBCA posted interest and sharia net income of IDR 55.71 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, up 21.23% from IDR 45.95 trillion in the third quarter of 2022 and net profit of IDR 36.44 trillion, up 25.78% from IDR 28.96 trillion.
BMRI recorded net interest, sharia and premium income of IDR 73.45 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, up 11.31% from IDR 65.98 trillion in the third quarter of 2022 and profit of IDR 42.77 trillion, up 27.81% from IDR 33.46 trillion.
BNI posted net interest income of IDR 31.13 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, up 3.10% from the same period in 2022 of IDR 30.19 trillion and profit of IDR 15.88 trillion, up 15.21% from IDR 13.80 trillion.
As of September 2023, BCA pocketed market capitalization of IDR 1.07 quadrillion or 10.47% of the total market capitalization of IDR 10.28 quadrillion, followed by BBRI IDR 78.97 trillion, BMRI IDR 556.71 trillion, and BNI IDR 190.68 trillion . (LK/LM)
