JAKARTA - On Wednesday, November 1, foreign sales volume was around 4.22 billion shares, while foreign purchase volume was only 3.07 billion shares. Net foreigners fell to -1.15 billion shares as a result. This disparity is caused by the net volume on the top buy list, which appeared to be insignificant, namely less than 50 million shares, whereas the majority of the net volume on the top sell list was greater than that figure.

Shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were sold the most, with 1.80 billion shares sold, and provided the greatest net volume of -631.20 million shares. Furthermore, shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy resources infrastructure business, were sold for approximately 86.48 million shares, with a net volume of -82.80 million shares. The subscription television broadcasting company PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk's (IPTV) shares were released for 45.91 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -39.37 million shares. In the banking sector, foreign investors sold 135.79 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with a net volume of -79.70 million shares and 55.10 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with a net volume of -36.85 million shares.

Meanwhile, shares of the general mining contractor services business PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) were the best-selling shares on the top buy list, with 241.83 million shares purchased with a net volume of 40.20 million shares. Foreign investors also purchased 63.41 million shares in PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), an oil and gas exploration and production business, for a net volume of around 33.57 million shares. With a net volume of 25.09 million shares, 36.74 million shares of copper and gold mining company PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) were acquired, followed by the purchase of 25.49 million shares of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) in the technology sector informatics with a net volume of 24.51 million shares. Finally, foreign investors purchased 40.52 million shares of the state-owned banking company PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) for a net volume of 16.26 million shares. (KD)
