JAKARTA. One of subsidiaries of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), PT Hutama Trans Kencana (Matrans), has signed a leasing agreement of 1 unit of vessel owned by PT Pelayaran Korindo with purchase option.

Tirta Hidayat, President Director of HUMI, said that Korindo’s vessel will be rented under leasing contract for 5 years. “The vessel began to operate under Matrans on November 8, 2023, completed with a purchase option at the end of the leasing period,” he explained in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Based on said agreement, Matrans put in pre-paid charter contract fee of USD 1.3 million to Korindo for the first phase. Meanwhile, the purchase option will cost another USD 1.2 million, available at the end of leasing period.

“The vessel leasing under Bare Boat Hire Purchase (BBHP) is carried out in order to support the company’s subsidiary’s business,” Hidayat added.

Hidayat then mentioned that Matrans is a subsidiary of a subsidiary under PT PCS Internasional. Nevertheless, Matrans and PCS Internasional are not affiliated with Korindo. (KR/ZH)
