Foreign buying volume is low; net foreign sales fell 1.2 billion shares into the red zone
JAKARTA - Foreign investors' share buying and selling activities on Friday, November 10, revealed a higher foreign selling volume, namely 2.54 billion shares, compared to foreign buying volume, which was in the range of 1.34 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume fell into the red zone, closing at 1.20 billion shares. As previously, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were the most sold by foreign investors, totaling around 1.15 billion shares with a net volume of -901.51 million shares.
The second target share belonged to the banking firm PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), which was sold for 85.37 million shares with a net volume of -48.15 million shares. Aside from that, foreign investors purchased shares in PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) stakes in the coal mining and palm oil plantation sectors, as well as the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), both in the range of 50 million shares. TOBA's net volume was -46.23 million shares, and BIPI's net volume was -32.65 million shares as a result of those sales. Furthermore, 30.21 million shares of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV), a subscription television broadcasting firm, were sold for a net volume of -30.03 million shares.
Meanwhile, foreign investors acquired stakes in two different coal mining companies. With a net volume of 77.87 million shares, about 90.48 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were purchased, followed by 13.64 million shares of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) with a net volume of 9.53 million shares. Then, with a net volume of 26.74 million shares, shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), a general mining contractor services firm, were sold for 47.99 million shares. Shares of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), which focuses on energy transportation, were also purchased, totaling 19.94 million shares with a net volume of 18.64 million shares. Finally, foreign investors bought 21.40 million shares of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), a copper and gold mining business, for a net volume of 14.31 million shares. (KD)
