Foreign buying volume reaches 3 billion shares; net foreign closed at a surplus of 465 million shares
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, November 15, foreign investors were spotted buying up shares, with foreign buying volume exceeding 3.23 billion shares. Meanwhile, the total volume of foreign sales was only about 2.76 billion shares, resulting in a surplus net foreign volume of 465.06 million shares. A major reason for the significant foreign buying volume was that foreign investors purchased up to 1.42 billion shares of the digital enterprise PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) with a net volume of 302.18 million shares.
In addition, approximately 107.06 million shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), which concentrates on general mining contractor services, were purchased, for a total net volume of 34.31 million shares. Then, with a net volume of roughly 30 million shares each, foreign investors purchased 41.29 million shares of property firm PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) and 49.90 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI). Banking company PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) shares were also bought for 76.09 million shares, with a net volume of 23.74 million shares.
Meanwhile, shares of the integrated media business PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) sold the most, totaling roughly 157.82 million shares with a net volume of -65.55 million shares. The following shares sold were those of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV), a subscription television broadcasting firm, with around 40.09 million shares and a net volume of -31.68 million shares. Around 34.37 million shares of PT Surya Permata Andalan Tbk (NATO) were sold in the property sector, resulting in a net volume of -21.58 million shares. The list of share sales concluded with the sale of two share issuers, each of which generated a net volume of approximately -14 million shares, namely the sale of 25.27 million shares of telecommunications infrastructure provider PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) and 60.38 million shares of banking company PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).
