JAKARTA - PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) aims to drive revenue from solution and consulting segment to 35% in 2027. With current contribution percentage to revenue of 25%, this segment generates 50% of net profit of MTDL.

Susanto Djaja, President Director of Metrodata Electronics, said that this solution and consulting segment provides higher value and generate higher return to shareholders. “We set the target that by 2027, solution and consulting segment increased from 25% to 35%,” he told IDNFinancials last week in Jakarta.

Previously, both of these core businesses of MTDL used to cover 75%-25% of the total revenue. “In Q3 2023, it turned around, in which solution and consulting contributed 28%. We notice that this segment continuously grows,” Djaja said.

According to Djaja, his company has three strategies to attain growth in solution and consulting segment, consisting of strengthening market penetration to financial, oil and gas, telecommunication, and digital native sectors; expanding business portfolio to provide one-stop solution in consulting, including adopting cloud computing system to enhance efficiency of information technology (IT) devices; and improving competency of human capital at Metrodata.

“In the end, as Metrodata is engaged in IT solution and consulting, we must acquire higher skills and follow the trend, bringing eight pillars of digital solution to the customers,” Djaja added.

In Q3 2023, MTDL recorded revenue from hardware sales of IDR 10.99 trillion, followed by software sales of IDR 3.01 trillion, service and maintenance of IDR 1.06 trillion, and others of IDR 44.32 billion. The current year’s profit clocked up to IDR 578.84 billion, while the net profit attributable to the parent entity reached IDR 401.80 billion. (LK/ZH)
