JAKARTA. CEO of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL), Susanto Djaja, has received the title the Best CEO in IT and Computer Company from Tempo-IDNFinancials during TOP CEO Awards Indonesia 2023 in Nusa Dua, Bali last Friday (1/12).

This award commemorates Susanto's success in driving MTDL’s business growth in the past recent years. Susanto was given the award along with 42 other names from various companies publicly listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that are deemed capable of bringing growth to their respective companies and have environmental contribution through their Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) programs.

According to IDNFinancials data, MTDL has consistently maintained its net profit growth rate in the past 5 years at above 10%. In 2018 and 2019, the company's net profit grew 16.42% and 23.96% respectively.

In 2020, MTDL's net profit growth significantly slowed down to 2.20% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the company managed to get back on its feet, increasing its net profit growth to 39.44% in 2021 and 14.07% in 2022.

Meanwhile, in the first nine months (9M) of 2023, the company's net profit was recorded at IDR 401.85 billion. This is equivalent to 69.2% of net profit in 2022, in which the company booked net profit of IDR 580.49 billion.

In today's trading session, MTDL’s stock price closed 10 points lower, or dropped 1.92%, to IDR 510 per share. However, in the last 5 years, the company's stock price has risen 344 points or 207.23%. (KR/ZH)
