JAKARTA - On Monday, December 11, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were sold in fantastic numbers. Foreign investors sold 11.08 billion GOTO shares while buying only 4.35 billion, resulting in a net volume of -6.72 billion shares. This figure had a significant impact on the volume of foreign sales, which concluded at 13.20 billion shares. Because the total amount of foreign purchases was only 6.23 billion shares, net foreign shares plunged to -6.97 billion shares.

Shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), which engages in the energy resources infrastructure sector, were also sold for 65.66 million shares, with a net volume of -63.93 million shares. The shares of the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were then sold for 73.74 million shares with a net volume of -54.73 million shares, followed by the sale of 89.82 million shares of the telecom company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) with a net volume of -35.35 million shares. Shares of another state-owned company, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), which operates in the telecommunications sector, were bought instead for 87.23 million shares with a net volume of 37.25 million shares. The purchase of shares in PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) in the petrochemical and energy sector and PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) in the marine and maritime services sector was in the range of 30 million shares each. Approximately 123.57 million BRPT shares and 34.82 million HUMI shares were purchased. In the banking sector, 72.62 million shares of PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB) were purchased, with a net volume of 26.57 million shares. Finally, the shares of PT Borneo Olah Sarana Sukses Tbk (BOSS) had a buying volume of 14.10 million shares, but without any sales, making the net volume the exact same number. (KD)
