Transforming business, BNI Multifinance granted another IDR 400 billion capital
JAKARTA. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) has channelled extra capital to PT BNI Multifinance (BNI MF) worth IDR 400 billion.
Okki Rushartomo, Corporate Secretary of BBNI, said that this added capital is granted to reinforce BNI MF’s capital structure. “As well as to support the transformation undergone by BNI MF to focus on consumer segment,” he added in the official statement.
This extra capital allows BBNI’s portion in BNI MF to rise to 99.9983% from the initial 99.974%. meanwhile, BNI MF’s Employee Cooperative’s portion is diluted to 0.0017%.
Rushartomo added that this extra capital injection had been approved by the Financial Services Authority in August 2023, and is carried out according to the Business Plan of Bank BNI 2023-2025.
According to IDNFinancials data, BNI MF is a financing company under BBNI that has been operating commercially since 1982. Its total assets before elimination were recorded at IDR 2.4 trillion as of September 30, 2023. (KR/ZH)
