Foreign buying and selling volume differ slightly; net foreign volume closes at -392.83 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign buying and selling volumes did not differ much on Thursday, December 14, with foreign buying volume at 4.03 billion shares and foreign selling volume at 4.42 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume closed at approximately -392.83 million shares. Foreign investors sold the most shares, roughly 2.23 billion, of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), resulting in a net volume of -956.40 million shares.
Shares of internet service provider PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) were also sold for roughly 94.56 million shares, with a net volume of -83.86 million shares. Foreign investors then sold 154.85 million shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), which operates in general mining contractor services with a net volume of -53.74 million shares, followed by the sale of 123.14 million shares of the construction company PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) with a net volume of -47.59 million shares. The latest top-selling list was completed by the sale of 85.30 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) in the mineral mining sector, with a net volume of -38.69 million shares.
Meanwhile, purchasing banking stocks dominated the top purchase list. Foreign investors participated in purchasing 238.31 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), resulting in a net volume of 131.04 million shares. Foreign investors also acquired 172.09 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with a net volume of 81.18 million, as well as approximately 126.33 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with a net volume of 73.01 million shares. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares in the coal mining sector were the next purchase target, with 115.80 million shares purchased and a net volume of 71.90 million shares.
