JAKARTA - On Wednesday, December 13, foreign investor UOB Kay Hian Ltd. purchased 35.29 billion shares of PT Intermedia Capital Tbk (MDIA), a television broadcasting firm. This investor becomes the new majority shareholder with a 90% share ownership percentage as a result of this transaction. Sabana Prawirawidjaja then bought around 565,400 shares in his own beverage company, PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry & Trading Company Tbk (ULTJ), followed by PT Great Giant Pineapple which purchased 179,200 shares of chicken farming company PT Sreeya Sewu Indonesia Tbk (SIPD).

Following that, two individual investors bought and sold shares in PT Darmi Bersaudara Tbk (KAYU), a wood manufacturing firm. Aldo Pratama Purnomo was seen purchasing 6.92 million KAYU shares, while Wawan Setyawan sold 13.51 million.

Besides that, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation-Equity continued the share sales by selling 200 million shares of PT Bank BTPN Tbk (BTPN), leaving 89.98% share ownership. GOTO Peopleverse Fund then sold 35.56 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), followed by high-pressure laminate producer PT Resources Alam Indonesia Tbk (KKGI), which sold 25 million shares of its own. PT IDEA Asia Investama also sold 12.60 million shares of PT Idea Indonesia Akademi Tbk (IDEA) in the hotel academy industry. Finally, PT Aneka sold 1.06 million shares of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) in the construction and mining vehicle rental services sector. (KD)
