JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding a collaboration in developing gas pipe network and internet service with PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI).

This partnership will target 2.4 million households in Java through internet infrastructure provision for PGAS. PGAS will then offer bundling package of gas and internet network with affordable price for domestic needs.

Rosa Permata Sari, Director of Strategy and Business Development of PGAS, said that this partnership is a part of PGN’s solution to provide affordable and modern domestic gas services. “Natural gas or Gaskita, supplied to users’ houses and available for 24 hours, will be equipped with additional internet service that will benefit users,” she mentioned in the official disclosure.

This bundling package of gas and internet network is expected to increase market share of PGAS’s natural gas. “The extra internet package is expected to increase people’s interest in switching to natural gas,” Sari added.

Meanwhile, Yune Marketatmo, President Director of WIFI, said that the company welcomes this collaboration. “We continue to support government’s initiatives to accelerate the supply of household gas network that over 2.4 million house points and generate great added value through the reliable and affordable connectivity improvement,” he stated.
