JAKARTA - PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), the managing company of KFC fast food chain in Indonesia, now owns 70% of PT Jagonya Ayam Indonesia (JAI), the supplier of broilers for KFC.

Dalimin Juwono, Corporate Secretary of FAST, mentioned that the acquisition of 70% of JAI is a realisation of the conditional shares acquisition agreement signed on June 21, 2022. “This transaction causes change in JAI’s controlling shareholder,” he said in the information disclosure quoted Friday (22/12).

JAI’s shareholder structure consisted of Djajeng Pristiwan and Erwin FX Bengie of 50% each, or equal to IDR 7.5 billion each, out of 15,000 shares worth IDR 15 billion. After this transaction, FAST claims 35,000 series b shares worth IDR 41.6 billion, or equal to 70% of total stock value of IDR 56.59 billion. Djajeng Pristiwan and Erwin FX Bengie now have 15% each.
