JAKARTA – Prajogo Pangestu’s business group obtains the highest growth percentage in market capitalisation among constituents of Indeks52, as shown by PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) with 152.40% and 79,73% growth, respectively. However, the highest market cap title is still held by Hartono Brothers’ PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA).

The data compiled by IDNFinancials today (2/1) shows that significant jump of TPIA and BRPT’s market cap is triggered by the growth in their stock prices within the last six months. On June 23, 2023, TPIA was closed at IDR 2,080, meaning that there was 152.40% jump to IDR 5,250 at the end of 2023. Meanwhile, BRPT soared 79.72% from IDR 740 in June 2023 to IDR 1,330 in December 2023.

The stock price increases shifted TPIA’s position within the Top 10 Market Capitalisation of Indeks52. It moved up one place to the Top 5 Market Capitalisation from the initial 6th place, under TLKM, which now resides at 6th.

On December 29, 2023, Top 10 Market Capitalisation of Indeks52 consists of BBCA of IDR 1.14 quadrillion, which rose 3.63% from IDR 1.10 quadrillion (23/6), followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with 6.10% jump from IDR 810.23 trillion to IDR 858.99 trillion, PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) with 29.22% growth from IDR 513.33 trillion to IDR 663.33 trillion, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with 19.21% shift from DIR 468.92 trillion to IDR 559.01 trillion, and PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) that soared 152.40% from IDR 179.94 trillion to IDR 468.92 trillion.

In the 6th spot, sat PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) after declining 0.02% from IDR 301.29 trillion to IDR 391.21 trillion, entailed by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) with 16.60% decline from IDR 228.73 trillion to IDR 274.27 trillion, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) that grew 19.12% from IDR 166.62 trillion to IDR 198.48 trillion, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), dropping 17.33% from IDR 162.90 trillion to IDR 134.66 trillion, and BRPT that proliferated from IDR 69.37 trillion to IDR 124.68 trillion.
