Foreign investors buy up Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) shares; net foreign volume reaches 925 million
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, December 27, foreign investors purchased 293.76 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), resulting in a net volume of 180.91 million shares. This purchase accounted for 12.56% of the total foreign buy volume of 2.33 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume was 1.41 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign of 925.08 million shares.
Foreign investors then purchased shares in the marine and maritime services company PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) for 126.02 million shares, with a net volume of 112.26 million shares. In the e-commerce sector, approximately 131.71 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were purchased with a net volume of 99.17 million shares, followed by the purchase of 90.66 million shares of telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) with a net volume of 89.66 million shares. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) shares in the banking sector were then purchased for 66.61 million shares, with a net volume of 38.77 million shares.
Shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), a petrochemical and energy firm, were sold the highest, totaling 55.72 million shares, with a net volume of -18.89 million shares. The shares of health services firm PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA) and metals and mining firm PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) were then sold for around 20 million shares each. As a result of this transaction, MIKA's net volume was -15.10 million shares, while MDKA's was -11.46 million shares. With a net volume of -10.24 million shares, 17.46 million shares of television broadcasting business PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) were also sold. Finally, shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) in the mineral mining sector were sold for 25.73 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -8.81 million shares. (KD)
