Gerbangmas Tunggal acquires 22.56 billion Smartfren (FREN) shares
JAKARTA - On Friday, December 22, PT Gerbangmas Tunggal Sejahtera became the new investor, acquiring 6.73% ownership of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) through PT Sinarmas Sekuritas by purchasing 22.56 billion shares. Furthermore, another new investor, Hengtong Optic Electric International Co., Limited, purchased approximately 1.78 billion shares of PT Voksel Electric Tbk (VOKS) through PT Bank DBS Indonesia. This transaction gave this Chinese-based foreign investor control of 42.97% of the cable manufacturing company.
Furthermore, PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk purchased 207.25 million shares of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), an oil and gas exploration company. Individual investor Magnus Jaya then purchased 69.01 million shares of the property company PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (MTLA), following PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk, which purchased 38.05 million shares of the gold, silver, and copper mining company PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA).
Interestingly, several individual investors appear to have increased their stake in the manufacturing firm PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK). Suhaelly Kalla purchased approximately 277.38 million shares, followed by Solihin Jusuf Kalla and Achmad Kalla, who each purchased 269.22 million shares. PT Denaya Cakra Cipta, on the other hand, sold 815.84 million BUKK shares, resulting in a significant decrease in share ownership, from 42.6% to 11.71%.
Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) then closed market hints, this time with the GOTO Peopleverse Fund selling 9.92 million shares. (KD)
