JAKARTA - Share buying and selling transactions by foreign investors on Thursday, December 28, resulted in a foreign buying volume of 1.76 billion shares and a foreign selling volume of 1.64 billion shares. As a result, the net foreign volume was 119.13 million shares in the green. Due to no shares being sold with this issuer, the shares of the telecommunications business PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) occupy the first place on the top buy list, with the same purchase volume and net volume of 59.94 million shares.

Foreign investors were also witnessed purchasing shares in two state-owned banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). BBRI shares were purchased for 102.96 million with a net volume of 49.12 million shares, while BMRI shares were purchased for roughly 68.30 million with a net volume of 36.18 million shares. Still in the banking sector, around 62.45 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) were purchased, for a net foreign of 26.64 million shares. The last shares purchased were of the minimarket retail company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) for 35.40 million shares and a net volume of 28.75 million shares.

PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares then became the highest-sold shares, namely roughly 305.52 million shares, with a net volume of -147.34 million shares. With a net volume of -90.82 million shares, approximately 149.75 million shares of PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) in the paint and building materials production industry were also sold. PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) shares were sold for 43.99 million shares, with a net volume of -35.94 million shares. Then, with a net volume of -32.70 million shares, foreign investors sold almost 40 million shares of PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), which operates in building and property services.
