JAKARTA - On Tuesday, January 2, foreign investors were seen purchasing 140.81 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), resulting in a net volume of 128.19 million shares. The foreign buying volume was around 1.82 billion shares, while the foreign selling volume was around 1.42 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume reached 401.20 million shares in the surplus.

The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) actually had the most shares purchased by foreign investors, with 302.36 million shares purchased and a net volume of 74.44 million shares. With a net volume of 107.67 million shares, approximately 192 million shares of the coal mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were also purchased. Purchases of shares in the airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) and the mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) both showed a purchase volume of nearly 30 million shares. The two purchases resulted in a net volume of 24.87 million shares for GIAA and 16.46 million shares for BRMS.

Meanwhile, 74.16 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) in the television broadcasting industry were sold the most, with a net volume of -57.97 million shares. Shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), a petrochemical and energy firm, were also sold for 53.48 million shares, with a net volume of -25.43 million shares. In the herbal medicine sector, shares of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) were sold for 28.33 million shares, with a net volume of -12.94 million shares. Finally, foreign investors released shares in two companies engaged in industrial area development: 25.89 million shares of PT Puradelta Lestari Tbk (DMAS) with a net volume of -22.62 million shares and 10.98 million shares of PT Kawasan Jababeka Industry Tbk (KIJA) with a net volume of -10.62 million shares.
