Deposit growth slows down in 2023
JAKARTA - The growth in the value of savings (deposits) in November 2023 increased by around 3% compared to the same period in 2022. When referring to deposits in December 2022, the value of deposits in November 2023 only increased 0.86%.
Data from the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) quoted Friday (12/1), in November 2023 the amount of deposits was recorded at IDR 8.27 quadrillion and the number of accounts was 554.60 million. In December 2022, deposits were recorded at IDR 8.20 quadrillion and accounts of IDR 508.54 million.
Deposits under IDR 100 million in November 2023 grew 1.38%, corrected compared to November 2022 which grew 1.44%. For deposits above IDR 5 billion, it’s corrected by 0.34% in November 2023 and in November 2022 it grew by 0.10%.
The largest type of savings is in deposits as much as IDR 3.01 quadrillion, followed by savings IDR 2.60 quadrillion, current accounts IDR 2.51 quadrillion, deposits on call IDR 49 trillion, and certificates of deposit IDR 4 trillion. (LK/LM)
