Foreign buying volume is stable at 2 billion, resulting in a 223 million surplus of net foreign volume
JAKARTA - Foreign investors purchased around 2.16 billion shares on Friday, January 12, resulting in a net foreign surplus of 223.38 million. Furthermore, the foreign sales volume was 1.93 billion shares. The banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) had the highest number of shares purchased, totaling 80.03 million, with a net volume of 57.40 million.
The renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and the marine and maritime services company PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) reported buying volumes of approximately 60 million shares. OASA's net volume was 59.94 million shares, while HUMI had 52.26 million. Around 74.30 million shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were purchased for a net volume of 54.72 million. This was followed by the purchase of 58.95 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of 47.38 million shares.
Meanwhile, the most sold shares belonged to PT Samcro Hyosung Adilestari Tbk (ACRO), which operates in the hook and loop adhesive business, where foreign investors sold 77.94 million shares and a net volume of -52.08 million shares. In the nickel ore mining sector, 47.73 million shares of PT Adhi Kartiko Pratama Tbk (NICE) were sold, for a net volume of -46.24 million shares. Foreign investors then sold 60.46 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy resources infrastructure company, and 43.85 million shares of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF), a pharmaceutical company. Through these two sales transactions, the net volume of BIPI and KLBF each almost hit -40 million shares. Finally, e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) shares were sold for 68.16 million, with a net volume of -35.64 million. (KD)
