HUMI to allocate USD 7.55 million for tanker acquisition
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Trans Kencana (Matrans), a subsidiary of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), has purchased a unit of oil tanker for USD 7.55 million. This transaction took place earlier this week, on January 16.
Tirta Hidayat, President Director of HUMI, mentioned that the source of fund to acquire oil/chemical tanker comes from bank loans (80%) and its own internal cash.
“Matrans is a controlled company with an indirect ownership portion of 99.9% through PT PCS Internasional,” Hidayat mentioned in the information disclosure quoted Friday (19/1).
Said tanker is bought from New Glory Shipping SA, a vessel company legally based in Panama. HUMI and said vessel trading company are not affiliated.
The transaction value is still below 20% of total equity of HUMI as of September 2023, which was recorded at USD 143.93 million. This issuer managed to collect revenue of USD 73.87 million, shifting from USD 68.79 million in 2022. Its gross profit also rose from USD 20.40 million to USD 20.59 million, resulting in current net profit that also grew from USD 8.71 million to USD 11.56 million.
As is known, HUMI is reported planning to acquire 9 vessels this year to support its revenue growth. The capital expenditure allocated for this acquisition is IDR 802.5 billion. (LK/ZH)
