JAKARTA - PT Energi Prima Nusantara (EPN) partners up with Sumitomo Corporation (SC) and Hitachi Zosen Corporation (HITZ) to establish a joint venture (JV), PT Jabar Environmental Solutions (JES), earlier this week (16/1). EPN is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), with total assets of IDR 1.4 trillion as of September 2023.

Sara K. Loebis, Corporate Secretary of UNTR, mentioned that JES will be engaged in the electric power plant, as well as non-hazardous waste treatment. “It is a manifestation of continuous effort of the company as a group to focus on nature-based solution, in relation to environment, social, and governance (ESG), as well as carbon emission,” she added in the information disclosure quoted today (19/1).

JES’s major shareholder is SC of 60%, followed by EPN of 30% and HITZ of 10%. The fund source to establish this JV purely comes from capital investment of each shareholder. (LK/ZH)
