JAKARTA - On Wednesday, January 24, foreign sell volume remained stable at around 2.42 billion shares, while foreign buy volume was 2.31 billion shares. The slight discrepancy between the two resulted in a net foreign volume of -101.07 million shares. In this net foreign summary, the highest share sales belonged to the banking company PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA), which sold for 101.10 million shares with a net volume of -95.63 million shares. Meanwhile, the best-selling shares were those of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with a purchase volume of 550.80 million shares and a net volume of 62.69 million.

Furthermore, foreign investors continued to sell 107.24 million shares of the marine and maritime services company PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), for a net volume of -81.49 million shares. Shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) in the automotive, financial services, heavy equipment, mining and energy, agribusiness, information technology, infrastructure, and logistics industries were also sold for 157,88 million shares, with a net volume of around -80 million shares. Foreign investors then sold 56.17 million shares of petrochemical and energy business PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) for a net volume of -37.88 million shares and continued with the sale of 65.30 million shares of integrated media company PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) for a net volume of -33.47 million shares.

Shares of telecommunications operator PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) ranked first after foreign investors purchased 175.98 million shares, with the greatest net volume in the top buy list at 113.19 million shares. PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares were then purchased for a total of 93.89 million shares, with a net volume of 46.52 million. In the renewable energy sector, 45.66 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were also purchased, for a net volume of 41.98 million shares. Shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), which operates in the domestic and international shipping sectors, were also purchased for approximately 53.31 million shares, with a net volume of 26 million shares.
