JAKARTA - On Friday, January 26, foreign buying volume fell to 1.67 billion shares, down from the previous day. Meanwhile, foreign selling volume hit 2.11 billion shares, sending net foreign returns into the red zone at around -442.48 million shares. Foreign investors sold the most shares in the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), totaling 441.55 million shares with a net volume of -242.56 million.

Apart from GOTO, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares in the banking sector were sold for 141.85 million shares, with a net volume of -71.40 million shares. In the natural gas trading and distribution industry, 80.84 million shares of PT Citra Nusantara Gemilang Tbk (CGAS) were sold for a net volume of -64.50 million shares. The airline company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) and the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) then had net volumes in the range of -50 million shares each after foreign investors sold 84.01 million shares of GIAA and 59.87 million BRMS shares.

On the list of share purchases, the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) ranks top with the largest share buy volume, 135.71 million shares, and a net volume of 124.11 million shares. In second place, shares of local and foreign shipping business PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) were purchased for 87.88 million shares, with a net volume of 65.27 million shares. Foreign investors also purchased 43.77 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) in the renewable energy sector, with a net volume of 36.91 million shares. Finally, two issuers each have a net volume of approximately 20 million shares: PT Bumi Resources Tbbk (BUMI), whose shares were purchased for 84.31 million shares, and PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), whose shares were purchased for 54.14 million shares.
