Indonesian govt aims for IDR 12 trillion in state sukuk auction next week
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will hold an auction of Government Sharia Securities (SBSN) or government sukuk on Monday (5/2) next week, with an indicative target of IDR 12 trillion.
This auction was held to fulfill part of the financing target in the 2024 APBN. According to idnfinancials.com data, this is the fourth government sukuk auction held by the Indonesian Government since early 2024.
At this auction, there are 7 series of state sukuk that will be auctioned. The details consist of 2 series of State Treasury Letters - Sharia (SPNS) and 5 series of Project Based Sukuk (PBS).
The rewards offered for the SPNS series are in the form of discounts. Meanwhile, rewards for PBS series start from 4.87% to 6.875%.
At the state sukuk auction which was held for the first time this year, namely January 9 2024, the number of bids entered was recorded at IDR 28.3 trillion with a total nominal amount won IDR 12 trillion. Meanwhile, for the second auction which was held on January 23, 2024, the total bids received amounted to IDR 23.76 trillion with a total nominal amount won IDR 12 trillion.
The auction will be held using an auction system organized by Bank Indonesia as the auction agent. All parties can submit purchase offers (bids) in the auction, through main dealers who have been approved by the Ministry of Finance. (KR/LM)
