JAKARTA. PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Tbk (MORA), a telecommunication service company, has launched its latest product called Moratelindo Network Interconnect and Content Autonomous (MoNICA).

Henry Rizard Rumopa, Corporate Secretary of MORA, said that this product will offer an interconnection service between internet telecommunication providers. "Both between MoNICA members and International Exchange," he added in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The international exchange interconnection service provided by MORA covers Equinix Internet Exchange (EIE), SGIX in Singapore, JPIX in Japan, HKIX in Hongkong, Any2 Exchange in the United States, as well as AMS-IX in Europe. Furthermore, the MoNICA service will be completed with a renowned Content Delivery Network (CDN).

"One of MoNICA's advantage lies on its solid, open, and neutral peering platform. This platform does not only facilitate internet traffic exchange between its members, but promote openness to other members, as well," Rumopa explained.

With the MoNICA service, Rumopa further added, Indonesian internet users are promised a faster connection to Remote IXP and easier peering, for public or personal peering, with a more effective cost. This service will be available in 6 MORA data centres located across different areas. (KR/ZH)
