Merdeka Copper Gold to issue bonds of IDR 1.5 trillion
JAKARTA. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), a gold and other mineral mining company, will issue the Public Offering of Shelf-Registration Bonds IV Phase V Year 2024 with a principal of IDR 1.5 trillion.
The security is a part of Public Offering of Shelf-Registration Bonds IV of MDKA with a target funds to be raised of IDR 15 trillion. Prior to this, the company had issued several bonds with total principal of IDR 10.25 trillion.
For this Phase V Year 2024 issuance, MDKA will issue the bonds in two series. Both series recorded principal of IDR 750 billion, with a coupon ranging from 7.25% to 9% per annum.
In the issued prospectus, MDKA will allocate approximately IDR 1.35 trillion of the proceeds to pay off the entire principal of Shelf-Registration Bonds IV Phase II Year 2023. The remainder will then be allocated to pay some of the principal of Shelf-Registration Bonds II Phase I Year 2021.
The joint underwriters for this bonds’ issuance consist of PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, PT Sucor Sekuritas, PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas, PT Aldiracita Sekuritas Indonesia, and PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (TRIM). Meanwhile, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) is appointed as the trustee.
The public offering of MDKA’s bonds will take place from February 19 to 20, 2024. The electronic distribution of these bonds will then be scheduled on February 19-20, 2024, while the listing on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is set to February 26, 2024. (KR/ZH)
